Reading through his 28 page CV and information about him that is R held on Google search engine, it is clear that Prof. Momodu Kassim Momodu, the Dean of Law, Bola Ajibola College of Law is a lawyer, arbitrator, mediator and an academic giant with diverse international experience in the petroleum industry, extensive strategic involvement in joint operating agreements, joint venture agreements, production sharing contracts, supply chain management, global petroleum industry procurement, multi-million dollar exploration and productions contracts negotiations with governments and petroleum industry service contractors, facilities fabrication and construction contracts, petroleum industry regulatory compliance, and strategic international human resources planning; all gained over twenty years of service with Chevron Corporation in Nigeria, USA, the UK and Angola, after an earlier eight years in the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law, University of Lagos. He was promoted Senior Lecturer at the University of Lagos in 1986 and left the university for Gulf Oil Company of Nigeria (Now Chevron Nigeria Limited) in October 1988.
He elected early voluntary retirement from Chevron in January 2007, and returned to academics, law practice, consultancy, arbitration, legal research, law journals editing and publishing. He combines his job as Dean of Law in BACOLAW with lectures in Research Methodology, Communication Skills,Alternative Dispute Resolution, and he is listed for lectures in Oil and Gas Law and Public International Law. Prof. Kassim-Momoidu served as Special Assistant to the President Shehu Shagari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from January 1982 to December 1983. He was concurrently the Secretary and Research Counsel of the Legal Advisory Committee in the Office of the President.
