There is need for people to pay attention to their general health well-being by giving priority to dental, oral, mental, emotional as well as psychological fitness.
This will assist in promoting a healthy living as well as healthy environment and keep them fit in their day to day activities.
The secretary, state chapter of the medical and dental consultants Association of Nigeria ,Olabisi Onabanjo teaching hospital, Dr Mrs. Bunmi Fatungase said this during free medical screening organized for Members and staffs of the state House of Assembly.
Dr Fatungase counseled people to be cognizance of their family medical history, eat healthy diet especially moderate protein and natural meals as well as less salt and drink more water to promote healthy living.
On his part, the chairman of the Association, Dr Adekunle Ariba said the exercises must be carried out to ensure prevention of diseases, urging people not to fall sick before they see doctor.
Responding, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Suraj Adekunbi who commended the Association for the free medical screening, described the health talk as an educative and informative one.
Hon. Adekunbi said disease remain a barrier to socio economic development of any nation while sound health will aid productivity ,urging people not to be too busy to take proper care of their health but pay adequate attention to it.
