It was a sight of glamour and fanfare as the executives of the Mass Communication Students’ Association (MACOSA) of Crescent University,Abeokuta hosted a hangout reception for students and staff of the institution.
The Hangout which occurred on the 14th of January 2024 at the Department of Mass Communication was moderated by the President of the Association, Oyeniyi Daniel.
Tagged: ‘Where the vibe is extreme’ brought students from across the institution. It also featured giveaway prizes, games, music and dance competitions. The event climaxed with the attendance of one of the lecturers in the Department of Mass Communication, Mrs. Ismail Khadijah, and the President of IMASA, Ridwan Ismail.
In an interview, Daniel Oyeniyi who is the president of the association, described the event as an avenue for inter-department integration and collaboration in the sense that it will promote unity among departments in the institution. And as a gathering for students to once again unwind before the preparation for their examinations.
According to Daniel, the Association has been at forefront in promoting entertainment and academic morals across the Department over the years, a legacy which it is committed to maintaining and urged students to sustain the tempo in order to strengthen their bond of unity.
Also, Mrs. Ismail in appreciation, doles out cash prizes to the winners of the competitions held at the event. She further enjoined the students to at all times be of good conduct and to respect the extant rules and regulations governing the institution.
Also speaking, the vice-president of MACOSA, Smith Sodun thanked members of the Association for maintaining a high level of discipline and being good ambassadors even as she expressed gratitude to God for the success of the event.
Performances from Disk Jockey (DJ) present and other hypemen got the already high spirited students on the dance floor to exhibit their dance skills.
