The Ogun State Hospitals Management Board has commenced the screening of 180 health personnel, to fill the existing vacancies across its health facilities, as part of measures aimed at boosting healthcare services in the State.
The Permanent Secretary of the Board, Dr. Adesanya Ayinde in an interview with the Press, explained that the approval to recruit 30 Doctors, 100 Nurses and 50 Health Attendants was given by the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, at the 2019 Treasury Board Meeting recently held in Abeokuta .
Ayinde stressed that the recruitment became necessary at this time due to shortage of staff, noting that, for effective and quality service delivery, there must be adequate man power at the various health facilities across the State.
The Director, Nursing Services, Mr. Samson Fadairo affirmed that the recruitment would be based on merit, as applicants would be dully interviewed to select the best from them, while the first 180 to be recruited would be distributed in all the health facilities in the State.
